BACK in March, 2015, Harlow man Martyn Coulter took his first tentative steps on the 5k Harlow parkrun.
He had been giving a little bit of advice from his doctor regarding his weight, lifestyle and diabetes.
Since the first run, Martyn has not looked back. From a steady time of 33.11 he is now running under 22 minutes.
He has run 10Ks, 10 milers and has his eyes on the London Marathon in April.
Before the parkrun down at the Harlow Town Park, we spoke to Martyn and asked him how the parkrun has, in many ways, changed his life.
Well done to the 137 souls who turned up for Saturday mornings’ run. A great turn out and testament to the hard work that all involved put in.
