HARLOW started the game on the front foot the new pairing on the right Petra Trimble and Anna Ferdinando combining well. The first half belonged to Harlow with Hay in goal very little to do.
Chances fell to Byers, chambers, Trimble, Esterhuysen-smith and Tweddle but the Phoenix goalkeeper was exceptionally agile and continued to protect her goal. The final pass was Harlows undoing with it going astray on numerous occasions in the blustery conditions.
Second half Phoenix changed formation and had more of the ball but the defence of Shearman, Horrax and Care stood strong assisted in the final minutes by Trimble. Player of the match Horrax combined strong defence with forceful attack down the right and Harlow had further chances through Naidoo, Byers, Ricketts and Tweddle.
But it was all to no avail. The Phoenix keeper thwarted every attempt and was surely their player of the match. Harlow next host Old Loughts
