BURNT Mill Academy Trust (BMAT) has launched a Public Consultation for Magna Carta Primary Academy, the school opening in Stansted Mountfitchet in September 2016.
The school, which will open to an initial cohort of 30 Reception pupils will be a one form of entry open to children aged 4-11 years.
BMAT is working closely with Essex County Council and the Department for Education on plans for the new school, including a new building at St John’s Road, Stansted Mountfitchet.
A five week consultation period on the new academy begins on 27th January 2016 and will run until February 24th 2016. Prospective parents and members of the wider community are invited to consultation meetings to hear Helena Mills, CEO of Burnt Mill Academy Trust speak about the plans for the new academy. They will be able to ask any questions they may have about the proposal and share their views. An information flyer is available to download from our website http://www.burntmillacademytrust.org/154/magna-carta and responses may also be made online.
The public consultation meetings will be held at Forest Hall School on Monday 8th February at 4:30pm
Plans are forging ahead for the new school’s opening in September. For the first year the school will be located in refurbished accommodation at the Peter Kirk Centre. It is anticipated that the new school building will be ready for occupation from 2017. Images of the proposed new building can be viewed on our website.
Parents and carers wishing to secure a place for their children at the new school have until February 18th 2016 to submit their application. Forms and further information are available on the school’s website.
