ESSEX Firefighters tackled a fire which broke out on the loft of a detached house in Chelsea Gardens in Harlow.

Wearing breathing apparatus and using one hose reel jet and a covering jet crews had extinguished the fire by 15:52hrs. They remained at the scene after the fire was extinguished ventilating the loft and dealing with hot-spots.
