HARLOW Running Club were represented at the Adidas Silverstone Half Marathon,
run on the historic motor racing circuit and organized by the team responsible
for the world famous Virgin London Marathon. While several HRC members managed
one of the water stations en route, nine runners completed the course. Martyn
Coulter led the way in 664th place out of 6725 finishers in a personal best time
for the distance (PB) of 1hr 37min 33sec. He was followed home by Paul Schroder
(1115th in 1.43.04 PB by 9m), Catherine Ridge (1116th in 1.43.04 PB), Darren
Tiley (1118th in 1.43.04), Wendy Spring (1819th in 1.49.46 PB), Susan Maloney
(4638th in 2.14.47), Paulene Galoppi (4663rd and 3rd Female Vet 65 in 2.14.58),
Jeff Mace (5025th in 2.19.04 PB by 12m) and Steve Crosby (6132nd in 2.41.26
debut).

Meanwhile at the Finchley 20 Mile Debbie Barry finished in 300th place out of
428 finishers and 3rd Female Vet 55 in 2hrs 59min 28sec and Jane Evans 395th in
3hrs 25min 59sec, both in their debut at the distance.

At the Surrey Half Marathon between Woking and Guildford Will Wall finished in
322nd place out of 3353 finishers in 1hr 31min 42sec.

At the Colchester Half Marathon Martin McColgan finished in 706th place out of
2424 finishers in 1hr 48min 20sec and Saira Muschamp 932nd in 1hr 51min 39sec.

At the Minchinhampton 10K in the Cotswolds Nick Rogers finished in 83rd place
out of 491 finishers in 49min 44sec in his debut at the distance.

At the Bromley Vets Cross Country race Mark Hayward finished in 14th place out
of 76 finishers in 40min 46sec.

At the Harlow Parkrun 5K Ben Usher finished in 7th place out of 110 finishers in
21min 51sec. He was followed by John Bull (10th and 2nd Vet 50 in 22.47), Mark
Bellworthy (13th in 23.20 a PB by 5m), Graham Saville (14th and 3rd Vet 50 in
23.25), Alan Wellbelove (21st in 23.54), Paul Dixon (22nd in 23.54), Alan Cootes
(30th and 1st Vet 60 in 24.22), Spencer Brooks (37th in 25.30), Austin Nyamande
(56th in 29.20), Alison Bull (57th in 29.21), Pushpa Mistry (68th in 31.04) and
Hossein Erfani (72nd and 2nd Vet 60 in 31.47).

At the Gunpowder Parkrun 5K at Waltham Abbey Jamie Jephcott finished in 5th
place out of 122 finishers in an excellent 19min 09sec and Jamie Luck 21st in
22min 24sec.

At the Hatfield Forest Parkrun 5K Alan Broughton finished in 5th place out of
131 finishers and 1st Vet 50 in a superb 20min 01 sec.

At the Chelmsford Parkrun 5K David Page finished in 217th place out of 493
finishers in 25min 38sec.
