Lifestyle / Thu 17th Mar 2016 at 05:37pm
This Easter weekend, the Town Centre will be playing host to Harlow’s very first ‘Street Food Market’.
Harlow Council has been working in partnership with Peckish Catering Services to transfer Market Square into a temporary street food market, offering a variety of high-quality, unique and specialist food and drink.
From slow-cooked Texan style brisket, chicken schnitzel, hot dogs with a difference to an irresistible range of home-made desserts, puddings and cakes, the StrEAT Food Market is set to be a truly unique offer for Harlow, providing something for everyone.
Peckish was established last year by owner Neil Bellham, with support from Harlow Enterprise Hub’s Business Advisor to ensure Peckish gets the right start in their new business venture. With over 40 years’ catering and cheffing experience, Peckish will be bringing their own, as well as a range of other street food vendor’s funky and fresh ideas to Harlow.
Neil Bellham, owner of Peckish said
“Street food markets are giving some of the best chefs and cooks a platform to do what they love, offering creativity and tastes from around the world using high quality ingredients.
I want to bring some of that to Harlow and I’m pleased to be working with Harlow Council to offer Essex’s very first Peckish Street Food Market. I have organised a range of vendors to take part who will be offering gourmet and specialist products to ensure there is something for everyone.”
As well as a range of food and drink on offer Peckish will be creating an enjoyable atmosphere with a range of music entrainment taking place throughout the weekend.
Peckish @ Harlow, StrEAT Food Market will be taking place in Market Square between 10am – 4pm on Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Bank Holiday Monday.

Guerrilla Kitchen
There’s a rumble in the jungle and insurgents on the streets…Food revolutionists the Guerrilla Kitchen have been seizing vacant lots and festivals across the county and forcing hungry patrons to eat delicious food.
The culinary freedom fighters, AKA Taffeta and Jay Scrimshaw, have been cooking up a storm since time began. Jay headed up Bibendum and Chez Bruce before the revolutionists opened their own establishment The Pheasant, which won Best British Restaurant 2009 on The F Word. But weary of the system, the culinary rebels broke free in their bid to give the people of the streets access to fine dining. Are you ready for the kitchen revolution?

Churros Bar
Churros are a traditional Spanish doughnut. They are long sticks on dough, deep fried until golden and are satisfyingly crispy on the outside and cake like on the inside. We supply delicious dips to complement our Churros like homemade Salted caramel, White chocolate with rum and Belgian chocolate with Baileys. We also offer Nutella and Strawberry jam.
