Soak up the summer at St Clare’s Summer Fayre

Charity / Thu 25th Jun 2026 at 06:59am

ST Clare Hospice is once again set to welcome hundreds of visitors to its annual Summer Fayre, returning on Saturday 27 June for a day of family fun, entertainment and community spirit.

Taking place from 11am to 4pm in the Hospice grounds, the event will bring together local residents, businesses and supporters to celebrate summer while raising vital funds for hospice care.

This year’s fayre promises more than ever, with a packed programme of activities, live performances and local traders. The Rock Choir will also take to the stage, featuring St Clare Hospice clinical administrator Emma Norris among its performers.

“Working at the Hospice, I see every day how vital the support from our community is,” Emma said. “Being part of the Rock Choir at the Summer Fayre will be a fun way to come together and celebrate that support. I’m really looking forward to performing and soaking up all the amazing things happening throughout the day!”

Visitors can expect a lively, festival-style atmosphere with something for all ages. Children can enjoy inflatable fun from GFC Leisure, alongside face painting and glitter tattoos from Chloe’s Glitz Bar, while adults can browse a range of artisan stalls showcasing local talent.

Highlights include:
Handmade goods from stalls such as Fairfields Honey and Made by Eve
A traditional tombola with exciting prizes up for grabs
Live entertainment throughout the day, including music and performances from local acts
Food lovers will also be well catered for, with a range of street food vendors serving up delicious options, including Caribbean dishes from The Grants Kitchen and crowd-pleasing favourites from The Chicken Strip.

Beyond the entertainment, the Summer Fayre plays a crucial role in supporting the ongoing work of St Clare Hospice. The charity provides compassionate care to people living with life-limiting illnesses, supporting patients and their families from diagnosis onwards with physical, emotional and practical care.
