Extra patrols over Easter at Stansted Airport

ESSEX Police is working with Stansted Airport to provide additional visibility and reassurance in and around the airport over the bank holiday weekend.
Chief Inspector Jon Hayter said: “Although the threat level remains the same, in the wake of the attacks in Brussels we want to provide reassurance to holiday-makers.
“Sniffer dogs as well as a wide range of officers with specialist skills will be on duty to keep people safe.
“If anyone has any concerns, I’d urge them to speak to our officers at the airport who will be happy to help.”
Karen Smart, Customer Service & Security Director for Stansted Airport said: “The safety and security of passengers and staff will always be our top priority so following recent events at Brussels Airport , and as a precautionary measure, Essex Police presence has been increased at Stansted to provide further reassurance as we continue to closely monitor the situation.”
