Child dies after bouncy castle “blows away” in Harlow Town Park

A GIRL has died following an incident in Harlow Town Park on Saturday afternoon.
The emergency services were called at just after 4pm following reports that a bouncy castle, wth a child inside, had come off its “moorings” and careered over 150 metres down the park, coming to rest at the base of a paddock, close to Edinburgh Way.
Two ambulance crews attended followed by six police cars. Shortly afterward, the air ambulance attended.
Paramedics attended to the young person on the ground and then transferred them to the ambulance. They were then conveyed to nearby Princess Alexandra Hospital.
Essex Police later confirmed in a statement that the child, believed to be seven-years-old had died.
Essex Police also confirmed that two people have been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter by gross negligence.
Police officers are working with Health and Safety Executive as part of the investigation.
