THE North Essex Parking Partnership (NEPP) is celebrating after winning the Gold Award in the Business Blog category of the Essex Digital Awards last night.
The NEPP beat off stiff competition from six other finalists from across the county to win this prestigious award, and is thrilled that judges recognised the organisations innovative approach to communicating with its customers.
As a Gold Award Winner, the Partnership will now be competing to be named the overall Champion for the Business Blog category in the Digital Award Champions 2016. The public vote for this will award will open in November with the Champions being announced in February 2017.
The North Essex Parking Partnership started its blog in January 2015 to address topical parking related issues, share news, breaks down technical legislation and engages with motorists and across North Essex.
The blog, written by Anna Tendant, a Civil Enforcement Officer who works for the NEPP, lifts the lid on what it is like to work in her role, discusses new and existing enforcement rules and provides valuable parking advice and information for motorists.
Since its launch, Anna Tendant has posted weekly updates which have been a hit with motorists across North Essex and the blog has now had almost 7000 views.
Councillor Mitchell, Chairman of the North Essex Parking Partnership said “I’m delighted that the NEPP’s blog has won this county-wide award. The Partnership is embracing digital and social media to educate and engage with local motorists and target new audiences.” He added: “The blog is proving to be a very effective way of doing this, it’s great to see this been recognised and we are thrilled to be in the running for the Champions Award.”
