STEVE Jack of Harlow ran the Brighton Marathon on Sunday 17th April, to support The Chocolate Run, a local Harlow charity that helps the homeless.

The charity runs a night shelter every Christmas, and a drop-in session every Sunday. Last Christmas 25 to 30 people slept at the night shelter, who would otherwise have been sleeping rough.

Steve finished the 26.2 miles in 3 hours 48 minutes. He is a volunteer and trustee with Chocolate Run, and said: “The Christmas Haven means no-one has to sleep rough in Harlow at Christmas, which is something Harlow can be proud of.

“I’d like to thank everyone who sponsored me”.
