Harlow Town 3 v 1 AFC Hornchurch

HARLOW Town have been promoted to the Ryman Premier after a disciplined and determined victory against AFC Hornchurch at the Harlow Arena.

It was always going to be a big ask for Hornchurch as they faced the challenge of two away wins in five days.

But whilst their semi final opponents let them play, Harlow did no such thing and used every ounce of expertise and know-how to overcome a team that not so long ago were in the National South.

Goals by Elliot Styles (og 12′), Piers Wixon (30′) and Layne Eadie (70′) ensured that Harlow go forward to a league they should have been in a long time ago but now they are there, many feel sure that the only way is up.

George Purcell (pen 41′) equalised for the Urchins in the 41st minute but never convinced.
