M11 | Essex | Northbound | Road Now Open

The M11 is now open northbound between Junction 8 (Stansted Airport) and Junction 9 (Newmarket) following an earlier vehicle fire.

Lane 1 remains closed at this time while recovery and clean up continues, however traffic can pass the scene.

M11 Essex – M11 closed, queuing traffic and long delays northbound between J8, A120 (Bishops Stortford) and J9 A11 Saffron Walden, because of an earlier lorry fire, recovery work and a fuel spillage.

Diversion in operation – Follow the circle symbol via A120 through Bishop’s Stortford then A10 northbound past Puckeridge to Royston then A505 eastbound to re-join the M11.
