St. Mark’s pupils take part in Junior Maths Challenge

ON THURSDAY 28th April, high achieving pupils from Years 7 & 8 participated in the Junior Maths Challenge, organised by the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust.
Pupils were given one hour to attempt up to 25 problems, with no equipment other than pencil and paper. Congratulations go to the following pupils:

Temitayo Rajitola – Gold Award, Best in Year & Best in School
Isaac He & Amir Schultschik – Gold Award

Matthew Brough, Nicola Dalisay, Benjamin Brown, Callum Jameson, Tyrone Kangwende, Rianna Collins, Sophie Noble, Thomas Wolff, Bosco Hayles-Whitfield, George Sapcaliu – Bronze Award
In addition, Temitayo and Isaac have been selected by the UK Mathematics Trust to take part in the next (more challenging) round called the ‘Kangaroo Challenge’ on 14th June. We wish them the best of luck! The pupils will be presented with their certificates during Assembly Time.
