HARLOW Running Club member Afewerk Rossom improved the club Under 20 5K record
for the third consecutive week, at the Gunpowder parkrun 5K at Waltham Abbey,
finishing in 1st place out of 140 finishers in a personal best time for the
distance (PB) of 17min 33sec. He was followed home by Amaniel Tesfay in 3rd
place in a PB time of 18.38 and Robin Lozeau 47th in 24.46.

Meanwhile at the Southend Half Marathon Rob Lowe finished in 11th place out of
1998 finishers in an excellent PB time of 1hr 19min 00sec. He was followed by
Brendon MacLean (49th in 1.25.52 PB), Alex Smith (69th in 1.27.59),Jamie
Jephcott (130th in 1.33.33), Martyn Coulter (235th in 1.38.01), Carinne Jay
(250th 1.38.42), Andy Bradley (277th in 1.40.04), Colin Moody (297th in
1.40.43), John Tennant (355th in 1.42.41), Vicky Steadman (357th in 1.43.38),
Mark Hayward (388th in 1.44.38), Louise Cootes (758th in 1.53.31), Peter Ayling
(900th in 1.59.06), Kerry Mavris (1213th in 2.06.57) and Joy Hale (1433rd in
2.14.18).

At the Half Ironman Triathlon at Eton Dorney Faith Jackson-Lee finished in 17th
place out of 40 finishers and 2nd lady in 5hrs 44min 44sec, a PB by an
incredible 26min. This consisted of an open water 1.9K swim in 31min 02sec, 90K
bike ride in 3hrs 15min 01sec and a half marathon (21K) in 1hr 54min 26sec plus
transition times.

At the Endure 24 at Aldermaston in Berkshire, a 24 hour race run over a 5 mile
loop of forest trails, Gary Godfrey attempted the individual event but found it
too much to endure, completing 10 laps in 91st place out of 123 finishers in
12hrs 50min 57sec.

In the mixed relay team event Richard Smith, Sean Flynn, Andy Ramage, Sandra
Rust and Holly Nairn finished in 56th place out of 205 finishers, completing 31
laps in 24hrs 20min 28sec.

At the Halbmarathon PLUS, a 25k mountainous mixed terrain race in Lichtenstein
with a 1500 meter ascent, Andy Kinney finished in 191st place out of 191
finishers in 4hrs 01min 32sec.

At the Hatfield Forest parkrun 5K Alan Broughton finished in 11th place out of
227 finishers in 20min 06sec, Pasquale Pellecchia was 32nd in 23min dead and
Joanne Mills was 141st in 29.40.

At the Harlow parkrun 5K John Bull finished in 8th place out of 179 finishers in
21min 52sec. He was followed by Terry Ridge (10th in 22.29), Spencer Brooks
(20th in 23.02), Paul Dixon (21st and 3rd Vet 50 in 23.04), Graham Saville (22nd
in 23.25), Andy Smith (35th in 24.37), Nicola Smith (55th in 26.24), Louise
Cootes (71st in 28.13), Jane Evans (72nd in 28.17), Alison Bull (78th in 29.03),
Alan Wellbelove (132nd in 35.26), Kerry Mavris (133rd in 35.39) and Darren
Coates (160th in 38.27).

At the Rushcliff parkrun 5K in Nottingham Debbie Smith finished in 180th place
out of 460 finishers in 26min 24sec.

At the Beckton parkrun 5K in London Paul Schroder finished in 57th place out of
65 finishers in 38min 32sec and Wendy Spring was 58th in 38.33.
