Kiddi Caru’s Harlow day nursery celebrated the achievements of its pre-school classes with a graduation ceremony recently – even complete with gowns and mortarboards.

Each of the nursery’s two pre-school classes had their own ceremony and in all around 40 children graduated while their proud families and friends looked on. They were each presented with a graduation certificate and were able to have their photo taken wearing a graduation gown and mortarboard. All of the children were also given a goody bag containing a special gift and reminders of their fantastic achievements during their time at Kiddi Caru. The graduation ceremonies were followed by a tea party, complete with lots of family games and activities.

Louise Farrow, Nursery Manager, said: “We hold a graduation ceremony every year as part of our programme of activities to help our pre-school children make the transition to primary school. Going to ‘big school’ can seem a little daunting, so we feel it’s important to remind the children about how much they have achieved and ensure that they have the confidence to continue to reach their full potential.”
