INSPIRATIONAL Essex entrepreneurs with a disability could scoop a £2,000 cash injection for their business thanks to The Big Business Boost’s Disability Entrepreneur Award.
The deadline for nominations to the prestigious award has been extended to August 31 so there is still time to get your nomination in and receive a prize package which could help take your business to the next level.
The award, which was launched in May this year, recognises people with a disability who run, or have an idea for, a commercially sustainable business.
Two winners will each receive a £2,000 cash prize to invest in their business as well as an exclusive support package, including the help of a professional business development team, to give them the best chance to grow and develop their businesses.
The Big Business Boost’s Disability Entrepreneur Award is part of the Essex BIG Business Boost, a business initiative offering thousands of pounds in prizes and business support to small businesses across the county. The Disability Entrepreneur Award is funded by Essex County Council’s Employment and Skills Unit.
Cllr Kevin Bentley, Cabinet Member for Economic Growth and Partnerships said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for entrepreneurs with a disability to show that Essex means business. I would encourage those eligible to enter and look forward to the announcement of the winners in October.”
