STEWARDS Academy GCSE Drama students enjoyed an engaging performance of ‘Face-Mum’ by performing arts students from Hertford Regional College. Year 2 students at HRC were commissioned with this performance, based on a story written by local writer Russell King, exploring the life of a teenage boy and how his life changes when a secret is revealed.
Students were transfixed as the story unfolded on stage before them. This was a very physical piece of work that was performed with energy throughout. The cast used a range of techniques to tell the story, drawing upon modern theatre practitioners and styles.
Di Johnson, Head of Performing Arts said: “It was a pleasure to host such a great performance by students who clearly have a passion for their subject. This was evident both in what the students watched and the question and answer session afterwards. It is important that our students understand the wide variety of courses available to them and HRC’s performing arts students provided an excellent example of theirs.”
