THERE was a festive buzz in the air on Sunday 20 November at our annual Christmas Fayre.
They had various stalls selling toiletries and sweet hampers; teddy bears; stationery items; Christmas decorations; books; St Mark’s Christmas cards; and glasses filled with sweets.
There was also a children’s arts and craft stall for those with a more creative flair. They also had stalls run by visitors to the school selling, candles, candy and beauty products.
The Friends of St Mark’s tombola and raffle were well supported, as was Santa’s grotto.
A spokesperson said: “We would like to thank Santa for making an appearance as we know he has a very busy schedule this time of year.
“The St Mark’s Wind Band also sounded wonderful. The money raised from the event will be used in school for the pupils, which amounts to over £900.00.
“We would like to thank all parents, pupils, staff and visitors who came along to the Christmas Fayre as well as their generous donations over the past few weeks. We couldn’t have done it without the support from our pupils, parents and governors. Thank you so much!
