Athletics: Kinney to the power of five over Easter

HARLOW Running Club member and serial racer Andy Kinney completed five races in
six days over the Easter Weekend.

On Wednesday 13th he finished the Run Through Chase the Sun 10k at Hyde Park in
222nd place out of 333 finishers in 54min 13sec.

On the 14th he ran the Maidenhead 10 Mile race in Berkshire, finishing in 748th
place out of 885 finishers in 1hr 37min 02sec.

On the 15th he ran the Morpeth parkrun in Northumberland, finishing in 155th
place out of 276 finishers in 27min 54sec.

On the 16th he ran the Druridge Bay Half Marathon in Morpeth, finishing in 82nd
place out of 95 finishers in 2hrs 16min 47min.

Finally on the 17th he ran the London Easter 10K at Regents Park, finishing in
200th place out of 377 finishers in 55min 24sec. Also running was Kerry Mavris
in 138th place and 1st Female Vet 45 in 51.54.

Victoria Park was the place to be for personal best times (PB) over the Easter
Weekend for Harlow Running Club members.

At the Victoria Park Half Marathon Adrian Fell finished in 21st place out of
307 finishers in 1hr 29min 37sec, Paul Lee was 69th in 1.40.09 (PB) and Faith
Jackson-Lee 73rd in 1.41.04 (PB).

Meanwhile at the Victoria Park 10K Jane Evans finished in 209th place out of 450
finishers in 54min 10sec and Lorraine Knight was 220th in 54.52 (PB).

At the Great Barrow Marathon, a multi-terrain race in Suffolk, Sean Flynn
finished in 20th place out of 79 finishers in 4hrs 08min 23sec.

Among the many parkrun 5K events Hackney Marshes was the most productive with
three PB’s from four participants. Craig Segal finished in 4th place out of 172
finishers in a PB time of 18min 24sec. Martyn Coulter was not far behind in 8th
place in 18.58 (PB), Terry Ridge was 31st in 20.53 and Catherine Ridge 36th in
21.08 (eq PB).

At Harlow parkrun Ian Charters, in his debut for the club, was 1st finisher out
of 157 finishers in a 18min 55sec. He was followed home by Danny McCree 2nd in
20.01, Barry Mooney 4th in 20.28, Andy Bradley 10th in 22.22, Andy Smith 21st in
23.37, Darren Rautenbach 25th in 23.51, Mark Ramsey 27th in 24.09, Viola Tam
29th in 24.28, Alan Cootes 40th in 25.15, Jim Bates 52nd in 25.56, Paul Dixon
54th in 26.04, Nicola Smith 55th in 26.15, Kerry Mavris 56th in 26.22, Martin
Elven 67th in 27.35, Jane Evans 74th in 28.21, Louise Cootes 83rd in 28.57,
Austin Nyamande 85th in 29.08, Susan Maloney 89th in 29.27, Hossein Erfani 98th
in 30.53, Brenda Clayton 103rd in 32.02 and Andrew Kitson 149th in 41.34.

At Hatfield Forest parkrun Owen Haigh finished in 8th place out of 317 finishers
in 19min 20sec, Michelle Hyde was 99th in 26.07 and Celia Haigh 194th in 30.32.

At the Gunpowder parkrun at Waltham Abbey Martin Westley finished in 33rd place
out of 210 finishers in a PB time of 21min 46sec.

At Hertford parkrun Graham Saville finished in 48th place out of 379 finishers
in 22min 52sec and Spencer Brooks was 74th in 23.55.

At Cambridge parkrun Louise Kedge finished in 234th place out of 627 finishers
in 25min 32sec.

At the Medina Park parkrun on the Isle Of Wight Paul Schroder finished in 125th
place out of 317 finishers in 26min 55sec and Wendy Schroder was 292nd in 41min

At Hornchurch parkrun Rachael Morris finished in 59th place out of 130 finishers
in a PB time of 26min 20sec.

At the Great Yarmouth parkrun Terasa Holden finished in 235th place out of 384
finishers in 28min 56sec.
