A man is due to appear in court charged with offences against a child in Harlow.

Darren Sellen, 40, of Church Leys, Harlow, was arrested on Friday, November 3, on suspicion of kidnap, sexual assault and breaching a sexual offences order.

He was later charged with the offences and is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Monday, November 6). He is remanded in custody.

Sellen was arrested after reports that a girl was grabbed and sexually assaulted in Little Brays at around 3.45pm on Thursday, November 2. The victim is receiving care from specialist officers.
