Harlow man absconds during robbery trial

ESSEX Police are looking to talk to Derek Lawless, 37, for absconding during a trial into a robbery.

Lawless, from Harlow, was standing trial this week for robbery at Chelmsford Crown Court and then absconded on Wednesday, December 20. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

He was charged with robbery in Coppice Hatch, Harlow, back on July 28, 2014, after an elderly man reportedly that he was robbed, pushed to the floor and fractured his hip.

Anyone with information is asked to call Harlow CID on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 55 111.
