SCIENCE Alive! A not for profit charity and your locally-based ISTEM Centre, are offering parents an alternative to regular childcare for the same cost!

Staffed by fully qualified ISTEM teachers and supported by qualified Teaching Assistants, a week of fun and inspiring projects for your little ones.

Based at the Time Machine Site in the Leisurezone, their team are aiming to teach Primary & Junior aged Scientists, Maths, Physics, Design, Nutrition, Exercise and even Business Skills without them even realising it!

Be inspired by Tim Peake and his trip to the moon and learn all about what it takes to be an astronaut, design and build your own rocket powered car and then race it around our site on a 60ft track! Set up a business in a day by designing and making your own bath bombs. Meet real life scientists and watch as they make things go bang – on purpose!

A spokesperson said: “Our young scientists have exclusive use of our site and will be cared for by Fully Qualified Teachers and Teaching assistants. Our sessions will be based around school teaching times to keep our young Scientists current routines in place.

“Although our standard full project day ticket is 9am to 3:30pm (£60 which icludes all materials) there is a special Early start (7am) and late finish (6pm) for those that need it and no extra cost. Please confirm this by also selecting these tickets when purchasing your Day Ticket for you required attendance day”.

Parents to provide all food and snacks to keep your budding Scientist and Adventurers going for the whole session.
