Police investigate “Meat” distraction burglary in Arkwrights

ESSEX Police are investigating reports of a distraction burglary in Arkwrights, Harlow, at around 3.30pm on January 4.
A person, who was described as being male and in their late teens, was reported to have stolen a wallet from a victim after gaining entry to a home. He had told the victim that he was selling meat, and left the property in the direction of Halling Hill, Harlow.
The person we want to speak to in connection with the incident, was also described as between 5ft5ins and 5ft7ins tall. He was of slim build, with dark blond or light brown short hair.

We would also appeal for any retailer who has recently had meat stolen from their store to report the matter to police as soon as possible.
