A suspected drug dealer has now gone 21 days without excreting the drugs he is suspected of dealing.
He was arrested on Wednesday, January 17 by officers from Essex Police’s Operation Raptor West team for failing to stop for police in Ladyshot, Harlow, along with possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
He has now spent three weeks in custody as police wait until he excretes out the drugs he is thought to have swallowed.
Last week, (February 2), the suspect appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates Court as police applied to keep him in custody.
The application was granted for another seven days, until Friday, February 9.
But if there’s still no bowel movement on Friday, police will apply to keep him in custody for a further eight days until the evidence is removed from his body.
