Declan Garner

ST Mark’s West Essex Catholic School was delighted to learn that Year 10 pupil Declan Garner, received the Young Volunteer of the Year 2017 Award at the National Pride of Table Tennis ceremony held recently, in London.

A member of the BATTS table tennis club in Harlow, Declan was nominated because of the time and hard work he gives, after school, to coach young players, and also for setting up the sessions and helping the full time coaches with many aspects of running the club.

A well-deserved award for Declan who said, “ I feel very proud and happy that my support for the club and its community has been recognised in this way and I am really grateful to BATTS club for nominating me.”
