A worthy cause, no doubt. Even one person sleeping rough is too many, and the heartless algorithm that says it has to be a certain level of chilliness in order for a night shelter to be open has to go too. Homelessness is homelessness, whatever the weather. Proper funding for provisions for the homeless needs to come from central government, who seem to be dragging their feet on the matter while people sleep outdoors and in danger not minutes from the House of Commons. They say they want to build "affordable homes" but affordable to whom? Not most of us. And not everyone wants to get their foot on the property ladder, there are still some people that want good quality social housing that they can pass onto another person or family in need, thus creating a better society where working people can actually have a safe a secure roof above their heads. Enough talk. Let's see some action.
You couldn't make it up fantasy, pure fantasy. VOTE LABOUR at your PERIL. Remember, "there's no money left".
Well with the Tories, there's no money left unless you're loaded enough to dodge your share of tax or can afford to give them half a million quid. Then all of a sudden there's a few million down the back of the Treasury sofa. But then, we can't all sell fighter jets and bombs to murderous regimes to drop on women and children can we.
