TWO hospice charities have partnered up to host a Corporate Football Tournament, inviting local businesses to battle it out on the pitch to raise vital funding for the causes.

St Clare Hospice (covering West Essex and East Herts) and Isabel Hospice (Bishop’s Stortford, Stansted Abbotts and Welwyn Garden City) will welcome local business football teams to Harlow Town FC Arena on Thursday 21st June 2018 at 6pm. Teams will battle it out in a round-robin 5-a-side tournament, with the winners taking home the ‘highly-coveted’ charity football trophy.

St Clare Hospice’s Corporate Partnerships Manager, Amy Jacobs, said: “The Corporate Football Tournament was a huge success last year, raising over £5,000 for St Clare Hospice. This year, we are so thrilled to be partnering with our neighbouring hospice charity, Isabel Hospice, to make it the finest local charity sporting event of 2018… and perhaps even the biggest football event of the summer! The highly-coveted football trophy is once again up for grabs!”

Amy continued: “It’s an honour to be able to put on an event like this. In addition to raising vital funding for our hospice charities, it’s lovely to be able to reward our corporate partners with a really fun and enjoyable evening out. Teambuilding with colleagues and having a laugh together is a great way to spend a Thursday evening – all whilst helping to make a real difference in the local community! We can’t wait to see you there!”

The event will be sponsored by local Ford Main Dealer Group, Gates Ford, who operate in Essex, Hertfordshire, Middlesex and London.

Does your local business have what it takes to top the trophy list? Up to 8 people can enter per team, with a roll on/roll off sub system. The cost is £200 per team, plus a minimum pledged sponsorship per player of £50.
