THE PARENTS of England Netball international Jo Harten, have expressed their joy after she won a Gold Medal in the final of the Commonwealth Games.
Many stayed up to see a classic match which saw a last gasp goal decide the match against red-hot favourites Australia.
Back home in Church Langley, Barry and Chris Harten were also on the edge of their seats as the match went one way and then another.
But Barry and Chris have always had faith in their daughter, ever since she took up the sport when still at St Albans Primary on First Avenue.
We sat down with the Harten’s just a few hours after the final to hear them reflect on their golden girl’s victory.
