Appeal for witnesses after stabbing on street in Old Harlow

Officers investigating a stabbing outside a pub in Harlow are continuing to appeal for dash cam footage.

A man, aged in his 30s, was stabbed at the junction of Station Road and High Street at around 9.30pm, Friday, April 20.

Three men then ran from the scene, leaving the victim with a stab wound to the abdomen.

The victim later received 15 stitches in hospital for his injury.

Investigating officer Ds Leo Fordham, of Harlow CID, said: “Initially we received a report that a fight had taken place within the pub.

“We have since established that there was an argument inside involving four people, which then escalated to fighting outside in the street.

“We understand that the road was busy with many vehicles passing by. If you have information or dash cam footage, I urge you to contact me on 101 quoting crime reference 42/54071/18 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”

ESSEX Police are appealing for information after a man was stabbed outside a pub in Market Street, Old Harlow, at around 9.30pm yesterday, Friday, April 20th.

A spokesperson said: “We were called about the incident at 12.30am today from a woman reporting that her relative, a man aged in his 30s, had been stabbed in the abdomen.

“The victim, who required 15 stitches in hospital, later told officers that he was attacked by three men during a fight in The Chequers that continued in the street.

“We carried out a search of the area but were unable to locate the suspects.

“We urge anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage of around the time of the incident to contact Ds Leo Fordham at Harlow CID on 101 quoting crime reference 42/54071/18 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
