ANOTHER office block in Harlow is set to be converted into flats.
Harlow Council has granted permission for part of the ground floor of the Peartree Business Centre to be converted for residential use.
The Peartree Centre is on South Road at Edinburgh Way.
Permission for 24 flats was granted in 2014.
It was decided that this did not need to come before the planning committee.
Are these Flats for Harlow Residents or is it like Terminus House purchased by a London Borough to place those in " Challenging Situations "
What a lovely place to live. Non-stop traffic and HGV's bashing through at night on the newly up-graded road. More lanes, more vehicles. Desperation for any tenants. Perhaps, even health problems with all the gassy fumes from exhausts, wafting through the windows. Good question Maverick. D'you think you'll get a straight answer. Socialism breeds POVERTY.
This is a direct result of the Governments attempts to meet the targets they set for the construction of new homes, without any concern about the type of homes that would be created. It then raises two issues, does anyone really think that the development of the former car dealership site at the railway station will ever see the offices planned for the site, or will they be turned into flats before they are even completed. Secondly, with hundreds of such flats being created in the town, will these numbers be included in Labours Local Plan, which means that homes planned for play grounds and playing fields can now be deleted from the list of 21 sites?
