Thug who assaulted police, paramedics and put vital ambulance out of service caged for four months

A MAN has been jailed for two weeks for assaulting police, paramedics and putting an ambulance out of service in Harlow.

The court heard that this was a prolonged incident upon public servants, namely paramedics and police involving kicking, spitting and biting resulting in injuries.

He also inflicted damage to public service vehicle, which caused taking an ambulance out of service.

Ioan Musteata, aged 31, of Amherst Drive, Bramble Rise, Harlow pled guilty to a number of charges at Chelmsford magistrates court.

The charges were:

On 04/05/2018 at Harlow without lawful excuse, damaged NHS Ambulance to the value of £500 belonging to East Of England Ambulance Service intending to destroy or damage such property or being reckless as to whether such property would be destroyed or damaged

On 04/05/2018 at Harlow assaulted PC Bowering, T/PS Mullis, PC Butler and SC Hall, all officers in the execution of their duty.

Musteata was committed to prison for 16 weeks concurrent.
He was also fined £500.00
