HARLOW Running Club competed in the 2nd round of the East Herts / West Essex Mid Week Road Race League Division 2 at an undulating 10K course at Royston. The women’s team finished 3rd on the day, the men 4th and overall Harlow were 4th and remain in 4th spot after two races. Sharon Wright finished 2nd in the women’s race out of 110 finishers in a superb 42min 03sec. She was followed by Allison Beeton 4th in a PB time of 43.05, Natalie Pennells 23rd in 46.51, Julia Gardiner 29th in 48.36, Kerry Mavris 34th in 49.49, Gail Nicholls 44th in 51.57, Lisa Gibson 45th in 52.00, Debbie Barry 53rd in 52.51, Laura Prime 56th in 53.06, Hannah Wenlock 59th in 53.31, Janice Page 64th in 54.09, Karen Moir 79th in 56.55, Joy Hale 85th in 58.34, Louise Peacock 91st in 59.35 (PB), Iwona Antolik 96th in 61.25, Lindsey Pearson 102nd in 64.44, Paula Miles 104th in 66.37, Helen Brunton 108th in 70.36 (PB) and Liz Roberts 109th in 71.03.

In the men’s race Danny McCree finished in 31st place out of 177 finishers in an excellent 38.50. Meanwhile at Alresford 10K in Hampshire Paul Schroder finished in 62nd place out of 320 finishers in 46.06 and Wendy Schroder was 182nd in 54.48.

At the Dartford Bridge standard distance triathlon (1.5km open water swim, 42km cycle and 10k run) Holly Nairn finished in 84th place out of 117 finishers in 2.43.46 (PB) and Louise Kedge was 87th in 2.47.43 (PB).

At Harlow parkrun Danny McCree finished in 2nd place out of 225 finishers in 18.46. At Gunpowder parkrun in Waltham Abbey Ryan Smith finished in 7th place out of 189 finishers in 19.31 and Andy Bradley was 15th in 21.11.

At Pegwell Bay parkrun in Kent Terry Ridge finished in 16th place out of 201 finishers in 20.55.

At Bishop’s Stortford parkrun Owen Haigh finished in 19th place out of 366 finishers in 21.06 and Justin Patten was 54th in 23.20.

At Hatfield parkrun Alan Wellbelove finished in 161st place out of 279 finishers in 28.41.
