HARLOW Writers held an afternoon of varied and entertaining readings of their own work at Moot House on Saturday afternoon.

From Surfing with Penguins to The Parson’s Plea, members of the group entertained the assembled audience on lovely warm summers day.

Guest of honour was Harlow MP, Robert Halfon. Mr Halfon said: “The Harlow Writers are one of the town’s many hidden treasures.

“What a rich pool of talent. It is a pleasure to hear their readings.
