Police chase ends with man charged with burglary in New Hall

ESSEX Police have charged a man from Basildon with burglary, theft of a motor vehicle, going equipped, possession of drugs, driving without a licence and breaching a criminal behaviour order.
Callum O’Brien, 24, of Bourne Avenue, Basildon, was due to appear at Basildon Magistrates’ Court today, Tuesday, July 17.
A spokesperson said: “We arrested two men in Romford Road, Aveley, at around 11.50pm on Sunday, July 15, after camera operators had their suspicions about a car.
“We charged O’Brien in connection with a burglary in Brickcroft Hoppitt, Harlow, overnight on Thursday, July 12, where a vehicle and jewellery was stolen.
“A 36-year-old man has since been released without charge.”
