Harlow Running Club had two members at the London Olympic Distance Triathlon (1.5km open water swim, 40km bike ride, 10km run) the worlds largest triathlon. Ryan Smith finished in 160th place out of 1837 finishers in 2hrs 31min 42sec, a PB by 7 min, and Paul Schroder was 916th in 2.56.57, just a week after completing a 13hr Ironman Triathlon.

Meanwhile at the Lakeland 100 Mile race in the Lake District, with a total 22,500ft of ascent, Darren Coates finished in 90th place out of 215 finishers in a very exhausting 32.15.27.

At Harlow parkrun Dan Chapman finished in 3rd place out of 210 finishers in 19.46. He was followed home by Colin Baker 4th in 19.51, Andy Terrell 8th in 20.49, John Bull 16th in 22.31, Alex Smith 17th in 22.41, Steve Warren 27th in 24.04(PB), Paul Dixon 33rd in 24.34, Catherine Ridge 39th in 24.43, Alan Cootes 41st in 24.58, Hannah Wenlock 42nd in 25.28, Leigh Brown 54th in 26.33, Spencer Brooks 57th in 26.47, Robin Lozeau 59th in 27.14, Andrew Smith 61st in 27.28, Sandra Webber 70th in 28.31, Louise Peacock 86th in 30.13, Hossein Erfani 93rd in 30.57, Jim Bates 105th in 31.55, Gemma Crozier 110th in 32.22, Anna Robey 157th in 36.20, Terry Ridge 172nd in 38.39, Austin Nyamande 206th in 51.59 and Tracy Cook 208th in 55.50.

At Bishop’s Stortford parkrun Jason Haigh finished in 19th place out of 232 finishers in 20.26, Jon Steadman was 27th in 21.31, Darren Rautenbach 42nd in 22.39, Vicky Steadman 48th in 23.24, Justin Patten 51st in 23.34 and Brenda Clayton 157th in 30.49.

At Maldon parkrun Martin Westley finished in 2nd place out of 244 finishers in 19.06, Laura Prime was 55th in 24.57 (PB), Janice Page 93rd in 27.25, Teresa Stickland 146th in 30.40, Lindsey Pearson 154th in 31.32 and Liz Roberts 169th in 32.32.

At the Gunpowder parkrun at Waltham Abbey Danny McCree finished in 7th place out of 172 finishers in 18.33.

At Redruth parkrun Andy Kitson finished in 4th place out of 109 finishers in 19.49 and Karen Kitson was 98th in 41.07.

At Walthamstow parkrun Martyn Coulter finished in 5th place out of 89 finishers in 20.00.

At Bude parkrun Kerry Mavris finished in 63rd place out of 197 finishers in 25.33.

At Orpington parkrun Alan Wellbelove finished in 78th place out of 199 finishers in 26.36.

At St Peters parkrun in Sydney Australia Terry Pike finished in 308th place out of 408 finishers in 31.33.

At East Barnet parkrun Andy Kinney finished in 156th place out of 191 finishers in 33.23.

At Helston parkrun in Cornwall Sara Coombe finished in 284th place out of 288 finishers in 51.32.

At Ware parkrun Helen Brunton finished in 90th place out of 92 finishers in 55.15.
