THE ESSEX Police helicopter was deployed last night after reports of men with guns in Harlow.

A police spokesperson said: “We were called shortly before 9.10pm on Friday, August 31 with reports two men were seen, one of whom had what appeared to be a gun in First Avenue, Harlow.

“Officers carried out a search with the assistance of a police helicopter.

“They spoke to two men matching the descriptions given in Edinburgh Way and established they did not have a firearm and no offences had been committed”.
