A LARGE number of police officers conducted an extensive search of Harlow Town Centre on Tuesday morning.

Photographs released by the Harlow Community Team show officers walking towards Redstone House opposite the Library.

They are also seen searching a number of alleyways near the market square as well as sweeping the Water Gardens are of the shopping precincts.

The action is part of an ongoing series of police strategies designed to combat crime and disorder in the area.

A razor blade and a butter knife were found.
