Strictly Fever set to come to the Harvey Centre

THE Harvey Centre is thrilled to announce that the Lesley Whitaker Dance School will be entertaining and amazing shoppers with their moves in the centre’s upstairs food quarter on Saturday 20th October.

Performances of a variety of dances will take place from 2pm – 3.30pm. Shoppers will be encouraged to succumb to ‘Strictly Fever’ and take their turn on the dancefloor alongside the experts, allowing them to learn some quintessential moves.

Ballroom dances such as the Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Viennese Waltz and American Smooth will be performed throughout the afternoon. Plus for Latin lovers there will be dances such as the Rumba, Samba, Pasodoble, Cha Cha Cha, Argentine Tango and Salsa performed.

Lesley Whitaker is from Harlow and has been teaching Ballroom, Latin and Sequence dancing for 36 years, and the Lesley Whitaker Dance School has been running now for the past 10 years. Their claim to fame is being part of the Strictly Launch show in 2016, which is an incredible achievement!

Lesley Whitaker says, “Dancing is amazing fun, it creates the best ever social life, keeps you fit and active and teaches you new skills. Plus it’s suitable for all ages and abilities! It will be our third time dancing in The Harvey Centre and we can’t wait to do it all again!”
