Update: Statement from Essex Police

“We remain on scene following an incident at the Elizabeth Way Caravan Site at around 8.15pm last night, September 29.

Officers attended following reports that a van had been shot at and a man had been injured.

The victim received medical treatment at the scene for minor injuries.

A 19-year-old man from Harlow was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is in police custody.

Enquiries are ongoing.

THERE is a large police presence up at the travellers site in The Pinnacles in Harlow.

There are several cars outside the site at the roundabout on Elizabeth Way.

There appears to be a number of other agencies at the scene as well as two lorries.

It also appears that a number of police cars on standby outside Harlow Police Station.
