IN response to the Government’s announcement of further investment into Harlow, Robert Halfon, MP for Harlow, said: “I work hard to get Government investment into education and skills in Harlow and I am delighted that Harlow College has just been named as 1 of the 21 maths centres for excellence by the government.

This will involve over £700,000 of extra money for education and skills into Harlow.

This comes on top of many millions of pounds spent on Harlow’s Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering Centre, the new Harlow Stansted Airport College, our enterprise zone and Public Health England.

It is clear that Harlow is going to become the educational and skills capital of Essex and the East of England.

I congratulate the brilliant Harlow College staff for all their work to get this maths centre in Harlow.

Harlow College one of the best colleges in the UK and the new maths centre shows the confidence the government has in the College.
