Harlow twelve-year-old pleads guilty to possessing gun and a string of other violent crimes

A TWELVE-year-old boy has pleaded guilty to a string of serious crimes and offences across the town.

The child, who cannot be named for legal reasons, made the plea at Chelmsford magistrates court.

The crimes and offences for which he pleaded guilty to were as follows:

1. On 28/11/2017 at Harlow assaulted another by beating him.

2. On 29/11/2017 at Harlow assaulted another by beating him.

3. On 04/11/2017 at Harlow, assaulted another, thereby occasioning him, actual bodily harm.

4. On 03/05/2018 at Harlow robbed another of Black Carrera Mountain Bike of a value unknown.

5. On 03/05/2018 at Harlow, had in your possession an imitation firearm, namely Small Black Replica Gun, with intent, by means thereof to cause , to believe that unlawful violence would be used against him or another.

6. On 03/04/2018 at Harlow having entered as a trespasser a building, namely shed, stole therein antlers of a value unknown

7. On 03/04/2018 at Harlow, unlawfully and maliciously inflicted grievous bodily harm upon a person.

8. On 15/04/2018 at Harlow without lawful excuse, damaged cell window to the value of unknown belonging to Essex Police intending to destroy or damage such property or being reckless as to whether such property would be destroyed or damaged

9. On 12/11/2017 at Harlow used a motor vehicle, namely SILVER EASY RIDER REGISTRATION, on a road, or other public place, namely Potter Street, when there was not in force in relation to that use such a policy of insurance

10. On 12/11/2017 at Harlow drove a motor vehicle, namely SILVER EASY RIDER MOTORBIKE REGISTRATION on a road, namely Nicholls Field otherwise than in accordance with a licence authorising you to drive a motor vehicle of that class.

11. On 20/02/2018 at Harlow without lawful excuse, damaged A VAN WINDOW to the value of £200 belonging to intending to destroy or damage such property or being reckless as to whether such property would be destroyed or damaged.

The twelve-year-old was punished as follows.

Restraining order made for the defendant in the following terms: 1) Not to contact directly or indirectly four others. This order lasts until 03/10/2020.

Youth rehabilitation order made. The defendant must comply with the following requirements by 03/10/2020 commencing on 04/10/2018:

Activity requirement: Participate in as directed for 30 days. also 90hrs reparation.

Curfew Requirement with Electronic Monitoring: Be under a curfew for three months with electronic monitoring.
Start date 04/10/2018. Start time 20:00. End date 03/01/2019. End time 07:00.

To pay compensation of £475.

@jarrett Couldn't do that to the poor little darling. You might hurt him. And it would be against his human rights. Never mind that he was prepared to threaten, hurt or even kill someone else.
