Get on board the tour of the Florence of Essex

A FREE bus tour to coincide with the exhibition ‘The Florence of Essex’, an exhibition consolidating 12 months research and work by artist and researcher Nicholas Smith. Featuring a film which has been made about the special relationship between the people of Harlow and the sculptures in the town, and a display of photographs that have been curated by Smith from the archive at the museum.

The tour will take in key works of public sculpture on display in Harlow, including Barbara Hepworth, Henry Moore, and William Mitchell. Meet at Harlow Town train station (20 minutes from Tottenham Hail on Great Anglia trains):

Collect from Harlow Town train station 1100am

Leave 11:20am to Harlow Museum for coffee and pastries and to see Nicholas Smith’s ‘The Florence of Essex’ exhibition and the gardens in the grounds of the museum

Embark on a short tour of some of the sculptures in the town, led by local tour guide

Finish at 1330 at the private view of Paloma Proudfoot at the Gibberd Gallery, Harlow town centre

People taking the bus tour will have to make their own way back from the Gibberd gallery.
