ST Stephen’s Church are busy preparing for a Christmas Fayre – with a difference.
Visitors to the the community-focused event on Saturday 24th November can enjoy games, activities and chose from a fine array of crafts, books and bric-a-brac stalls “without spending a penny”.
Marilyn Pearce, church warden said “Christmas is a time of giving and giving thanks, and thinking of those less fortunate or struggling to make ends meet. It’s also about recognising and encouraging generosity in our community and that celebrating such things doesn’t have to have a price tag”.
A small charge will be made for cakes, refreshments, the raffle and tombola, but beyond that, everything will be free!
St Stephen’s Christmas Fayre runs from 12 to 3pm on Saturday 24th November.
