HARLOW Rock School kicked off a busy run into the Christmas period by being part of the onstage entertainment at the Water Gardens Christmas Light Switch On event. Joining Santa and several characters from Harlow Playhouse’s forthcoming production of Aladdin, the youngsters from the teenage music project braved the bitter cold to perform a mixture of modern Christmas tunes and numbers that will form part of the show at their upcoming concerts.
Martin Elven from Rock School said “This was a bit of a last minute invitation, but we decided that it would be a good opportunity to get a few of the students back in front of an audience for the first time after the summer holidays. For some of them, this was the biggest audience they’ve ever faced, so it was ideal for building their confidence, and promoting our upcoming shows.”
Harlow Rock School can be seen performing at the next Harlow Soup event on November 29th at Pemberley Academy in Hodings Road, and on December 8th at their annual Christmas fundraising showcase at The ARC in St Johns Walk, Market Street, Old Harlow.
