Council and church to provide night shelter for rough sleepers

WITH temperatures falling Harlow Council is working with St. Paul’s Church to provide temporary night shelter accommodation for rough sleepers starting from tonight (12 December 2018).

The night provision will be reviewed on Monday 17 December 2018. Further shelter will be provided when low temperatures or severe weather is forecast. This is part of new measures in place this year to support rough sleepers.

Anyone requiring the shelter must contact the Council first. During normal office hours Monday to Friday phone 01279 446655 or come to the Civic Centre.

Out of hours please phone 01279 446666<. This information has been shared with Streets2Homes and other teams who have contact with rough sleepers. Anyone concerned about someone sleeping rough in Harlow can connect them to local help and support via Streetlink at Print Friendly, PDF & Email
