Hi All,

Let me start of by apologising for my lack of blogging over the last few weeks, I’ve been traveling in India as well as attending my cousin’s wedding there. ..and, I must say, India is incredible, and every time I have been, it has amazed me. For those of you thinking of going, just go, you won’t be disappointed. With that said, on to my blog…

So it’s that time of year again… IT’S CHRISTMAS!!! WHOOP WHOOP! This means festive foods, seeing family and friends and just having a great laugh!

Christmas is a season of great joy. But, we mustn’t forget, it is a time of God showing his great love for us. It can be a time of healing and renewed strength. You see, Christmas is when we celebrate the birth of the Christ child. God sent his Son, Jesus, into the world to be born. His birth brought great joy to the world. Shepherds, wise men, and angels all shared in the excitement of knowing about this great event. They knew this was no ordinary baby. The prophets had told of his coming hundreds of years before. The star stopped over Bethlehem just to mark the way for those who were looking for this special child. This is the true Christmas that many of us miss in this festive period.

This year, my Christmas blog is more of a wish to you all, about sharing the community love and bond we have. Despite being displaced and persecuted throughout Christ’s life, his unchanging message was not one of revenge or violence but simply that we should love one another. So, with this thought, let us spread the good cheer to our local community, and spread harmony, peace and love to everyone and continue that into the New Year. Let’s forgive and move on to a fresh start. Although it is not an easy message to follow, we shouldn’t be discouraged; rather, it should inspire us to try harder: to be thankful for the people who bring love and happiness into our own lives, and to look for ways of spreading that love to others, whenever and wherever we can.

So spread the love, bring a smile to someone’s face, this is what Christmas is about. I wish everyone a very Happy Christmas and a Joyful New Year Ahead.
