London Marathon 2019: Running stalwart Colin set to take part in the 25th London Marathon

HARLOW Running Club veteran is set to start his twenty-fifth London Marathon.

Colin has been running for over thirty years. Week in and week out he competes for Harlow Running Club as well as helping out as a volunteer at event such as Harlow park run.

Colin said: “2019 will mark the twenty-fifth time that I have run the London Marathon and I would like to make it a special occasion to raise some vital funds for a very deserving cause, St. Clare Hospice.

My time target for the run is 3.45.00 as it was in 2018, but hopefully in 2019 it will be cooler that then. I have a variety of races lined up as tests of my fitness before the end of April and to see how I am progressing.

The Hospice provides an excellent supporting service to patients and their families in the West Essex and East Hertfordshire area and it does not receive all its finance from the government or the NHS, so is always looking to raise enough to keep its services operating. As an example of how your sponsorship would be used, £20.00 would pay for a one hour counselling session for a bereaved child delivered by a specialist child, young people and family therapist.

So, if you are willing to sponsor me, please give generously, as your donations will be put to good use.
