Statement from Essex Police

“We arrested two people in Tumbler Road, Harlow, at around 3.15pm yesterday, Monday, April 1, in connection with a theft investigation.

“A 17-year-old boy from Harlow was arrested on suspicion of theft of a vehicle and driving without insurance and a licence and a 24-year-old man from Harlow was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.

“They have both been released under investigation.

“It follows reports a car was stolen overnight on Friday, March 29, from Rye Road in Hoddesdon”.

1530 hrs

A LARGE police van and a squad car are in attendance outside the shops at Manor Hatch on Tumbler Road in Harlow.

It is as yet unknown if any arrests have been made.
