St Stephen’s Harlow is looking for a new vicar.

IN the last five years, under the popular stewardship of Rev Ernie Guest, St Stephen’s developing and faithful congregation has grown in numbers, in depth of discipleship and in confidence, and it has produced a significant number of vocations to lay and ordained ministry. The parish is ripe for further growth in mission, and one of its greatest strengths is its strong, welcoming and inclusive heart for the local community it serves and prays for.

This dynamic church is looking for some who is:

Passionate about continuing to develop St Stephen’s through deepening discipleship, fostering vocations and further developing lay leadership

Committed to strengthening relationships with the wider community – especially through its schools– and enabling those who follow Jesus to become a distinctive and Spirit-filled presence in that community

Energised by the prospect of serving this sociologically/ ethnically diverse and sometimes challenging part of Harlow
Eager to work flexibly with neighbouring parishes and community organisations to make an impact for the Gospel across the south of Harlow Deanery

If this is you, for an informal conversation, contact the Area Dean, The Revd Canon Martin Harris ([email protected] • 01279 411100)

Closing date: 28th May 2019
Interview: 20th June 2019
